Understanding Sally Beauty Holdings integration
Who this is for: Beauty, hair care and salon product vendors shipping to Sally Beauty Supply and Beauty Systems Group warehouses, and the EDI, logistics and compliance teams that support them.
Sally Beauty Holdings (SBH) publishes a Vendor Guide for merchandise vendors, effective April 8, 2019. It covers both of its businesses: Sally Beauty Supply and Beauty Systems Group, which includes CosmoProf and Armstrong McCall. The guide says SBH handles forecasting, ordering, shipping, invoicing and chargebacks the same way for both.
For EDI, SBH chose a designated third-party EDI provider to carry all shipment communication. Vendors exchange six documents through that provider: the 850 purchase order, 855 acknowledgment, 860 change, 865 change acknowledgment, 856 ship notice and 810 invoice, with GS1-128 labels and a packing list. New vendors have 21 days from the initial contract date to complete EDI setup and testing. A vendor that does not comply stops receiving purchase orders.
The ASN and the invoice are both due within 24 hours after the goods ship. Orders must arrive within the purchase order's "Delivery Week of" window, and late units are charged 4% to 12%. Unfilled units are charged 12% of cost. This guide records what the 2019 Vendor Guide says, notes its age, and lists what we could not confirm.
