Overview
Connecting Oracle NetSuite with your trading partners
Oracle NetSuite is a cloud ERP widely used by growing brands, distributors and wholesalers, many of whom sell to retailers that require EDI. NetSuite does not translate EDI itself, so an integration layer converts partner documents into NetSuite records and back again.
NetSuite provides SuiteTalk web services in SOAP and REST forms, RESTlets for custom endpoints written in SuiteScript, and CSV import for simpler cases. ECOM connects NetSuite to trading partners through PRISM: inbound purchase orders become sales orders, and item fulfillments and invoices generate ship notices and invoices for each partner. ECOM also provides NetSuite implementation services.

Planning
Implementation considerations
Governance limits
NetSuite enforces API concurrency and script usage limits that affect high-volume designs.
Packaging data
Ship notices often need carton and pallet details that may require additional NetSuite fields or a WMS.
Customer-specific fields
Partner identifiers, ship-to codes and item cross-references should be modeled carefully.
